I am currently delivering a cultural enhancement initiative at a college in the UK.
Called, the RESPECT CAMPAIGN, and initially a training program aimed at facilitating understanding of the Equality Act 2010, so that students develop an awareness of all 9 protected characteristics (disability, race, sexual orientation, religion and belief, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, sex and age), the initiative looks at how discriminatory behaviour towards anyone who holds one or more of these, and that means anyone, is unacceptable. |

Stage One - The Give 'em Hope Campaign is an inclusive and inspirational celebration of diversity; an online video initiative to encourage and uplift those who feel marginalised, isolated or limited by labels. We exist to bring hope to those who need it most and do so by sharing our stories. The campaign was founded by David E Watters in early 2011 and has grown, with the support of numerous international cheerleaders and proactive participants.
All of our videos can be found on our youtube channel.

I definitely see a Give ‘em Hope album coming together. Thank you to everyone who has contributed a music video; particularly to those who have written original songs especially for the campaign. Do you want to contribute your music to this initiative?

If, as some here have said, I am a leader, then please do not make yourself a follower but instead become a leader too. I see the potential in every single one of you and the strengths that you have are incredible to behold. There are leaders here already, and those who doubt that they could lead, but in being here and in speaking your truth you are creating a way for others to rise up and be free of the limitations that others have placed upon them. Your authenticity and generosity are the gifts that show you to be a leader and a light to others; others whom, when the time is right, will themselves lead - and so it continues. |

This poem was written many years ago and is in fact 2 poems pasted together. I wanted to write about loss and saw that my original poem about World War One complimented my later poem about Michael. This is for everyone who has felt loss and especially is in remembrance of those families who have suffered unnecessary and senseless loss. I started stalking celebrities a few years back but all in a good cause. I wanted to do something that would help the Terrence Higgins Trust. http://www.tht.org.uk/which is the leading and largest HIV and sexual health charity in the UK. So I emailed and called anyone and everyone I thought would be sympathetic to the cause; Kylie Minogue, Stephen Fry, Joan Baez, Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Mari Wilson, Horse, Ari Gold, Leon Lopez, Del Shores…anyway, the list is endless. |

If you believe that we all deserve equality in this world then share this petition and urge your friends to sign it. The petition relates to the Equal Love Campaign in the UK and I am part of this initiative to challenge the exclusion of straight couples from civil partnerships and gay couples from civil marriage. |
